Is Paybox gone? Empty Is Paybox gone?

Post by selkie30 Tue Mar 15, 2011 12:02 pm

Hello, I always had my doubts about Paybox.me. Now when I try to log in, I get this: "There is a problem with this website's security certificate." Apparently Paybox.me has packed up its tent and stolen away into the night. They've been saying something lately about "rebranding", or some such doubletalk, but nothing about the site going away. What's up with that?

Welcome Selkie. Paybox.me is now [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] . The owner finally got money to buy a real domain name. The reason to the change isn't clear. It wasn't to fool Google and be admitted again in ad sense, since Google already noticed the change: just search for paybox.me. It's possible that the real [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] (an already existent company) threaten paybox.me with legal action for using its name. There is also [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] that uses the same software of paybox.me. Probably is the same guy.
In the paybox blog he says he is going to clean the database of older dormant accounts. May be your account was one of the deleted ones. Or probably it was just a temporary problem. I haven't try to log in in months. Too tired of scams.

Welcome dloekito.
No, I think paybox.me (now [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] is a scam.
But the scammer got lucky. He probably made a deal with [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] and sold them the paybox.me domain name. When you try to go to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] you now end up at www1.paybox.com, the real company. So, he probably made some real money with his scam.
Read this thread to see why it is a scam: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
